Teacher Geek
Look what I got in the mail today!! I am so excited about reading all of these that I had to do an extra blog post today. I don't order professional books very often but my wish list of books I want to read that the library doesn't have was so long that I just gave in and ordered these. Now which one should I read first?? So many great choices!! I know I am a complete geek about this stuff but I also know this means I am working in the best job for me.

Rainy Day Fun
Today was a cool, rainy day. Abby's softball game was canceled (thankfully since Abby can't play right now because of the blister on her finger) and we had time for some extra reading. Abby read about some kids playing Blindman's Bluff in her book and wanted to try it out. It was silly and fun and had all of us laughing until tears were in our eyes.

Not a Broken Finger
Under this bandage is a huge blood blister (one inch by half an inch) that is a result of a wart freezing treatment. This is apparently a normal part of the process. After 9 plus years as a mom and 16 years as a teacher, I am now pretty good with most "yucky" stuff but this makes me shiver every time we have to change the bandage.

Mmmmm.... Chocolate Mints
My birthday gift from Karl and Abby was several boxes of chocolate mints - my very favorite. Notice the tiny labels that they put on each box - June, July, August, Any time - one box for each month. This is because they did not want to sabotage my efforts at staying healthy by eating better and exercising more. I hope I can follow the labels!! Chocolate mints are my weakness!
