Math Lesson Planning

Abby and Annie helped Karl with a math lesson plan today. He will be teaching about distance, rate, time and one-step equations. Abby was upstairs dropping a tennis ball down in front of a yardstick taped to the wall while Karl took pictures. Annie "helped" out by catching the ball as it dropped.

Ahh.... The Weekend

Annie loves the weekends and all the extra attention she gets.

Cool Beans

Wow! Who knew that beans could last so long and be so educational? I bought these beans for Abby to play with when she was a toddler - pouring, scooping, sifting, etc. and then she moved on to use them as counters for math. Now I use them with my first graders when we learn about volume and capacity and Karl uses them with his ninth graders for the capture/recapture method of sampling in Algebra.
